Experience
My career began as computer engineer for 30 years, before become an educator. I was a college professor of computer science and mathematics for 9 years, an educational consultant developing and implementing Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for 4 years, and now I am a middle school teacher. I have come to understand the importance in helping young students establish a strong educational foundation. I have tutored students, from elementary to post secondary for the last 13 years. I have written several textbooks on a variety of academic subjects. The most recent textbook, "A Basic Course in Geometry", is a 2014 edition of a high school CCSS textbook. At the college level, I have taught pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), English (grammar, composition, oral and written communications), and business management.

Hobbies
I believe quality of life issues are important, as I enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. Every student learns differently, so individual learning goals and specific teaching methods should be used to allow a child to become self-actuated (motivated to reach one's potential). I believe every student can succeed, with a little help. I have developed academic standards and curriculum for mathematics at all grade levels and effective educational methods and assessments that promote learning and encourage student curiosity.
